State Senator Jeff Danielson is currently serving his first term in the Iowa Senate.  He serves the people of Senate District 10, including Hudson, Cedar Falls and Waterloo in Black Hawk County.

Senator Danielson is Senate President Pro Tempore and chairs the Administration & Regulation Budget Subcommittee. He serves as vice-chair of the Transportation Committee and as a member of the Economic Growth, State Government, Veterans Affairs, Rules & Administration, and Appropriations committees.

In addition to his committee work, Senator Danielson serves on the IowAccess Advisory Council and the Community College Working Group for Stakeholders.

Senator Danielson is a professional firefighter with the City of Cedar Falls.  He is member of the International Association of Firefighters Local #1366 and the Iowa Fireman’s Association.

Senator Danielson's community leadership and volunteer experience includes past service on the Iowa Transportation Commission and the Waterloo Planning and Zoning Commission.  He currently serves on the Hawkeye Chapter of the Red Cross Board, Black Hawk Economic Development Board, and the University of Northern Iowa Leadership Advisory Board. 

Danielson was in the Navy from 1988–1994, where he worked as an Electronic Warfare Technician. He is now a Life Member of Amvets Post #49 in Cedar Falls.

Senator Danielson is a graduate of Waterloo Central High School.  He graduated from Hawkeye Community College and earned his undergraduate degree in Public Administration from UNI.  He earned his Master’s Degree in Public Policy from UNI in May, 2004.

Senator Danielson and his wife, Kim, are the parents of Brendan and Erin, who attend Waterloo schools.
