Rob Hogg
was elected to the Iowa Senate in 2006 after serving two terms in the Iowa
House. He represents Senate District 19, which includes northeast and
southeast Cedar Rapids in Linn County.
Senator Hogg is vice-chair of the Judiciary Committee and serves on the
Appropriations, Natural Resources & Environment, and Ways & Means
committees. He is also a member of the Justice Systems Budget Subcommittee.
In addition
to his legislative work, Senator Hogg serves on the Juvenile Institutions
Board, the Toledo Study Group, and the Watershed Improvement Review Board.
Hogg is an attorney with Elderkin & Pirnie in Cedar
Rapids. He and his wife, Kate, have three children. He is an active
member of Christ Episcopal Church and the Indian Creek Nature Center and a
classroom volunteer at Erskine Elementary School in Cedar Rapids.
Hogg is originally from Iowa City. He
attended the University of Iowa, where he earned a degree in history in 1988. He
received
his law degree from the University of Minnesota. |
