Rob Hogg
was elected to the Iowa Senate in 2006 after serving two terms in the Iowa
House. He represents Senate District 19, which includes northeast and
southeast Cedar Rapids in Linn County.
Senator Hogg is chair of the
Rebuild Iowa Committee and vice-chair of three committees: Judiciary,
Environment & Energy Independence, and the Justice Systems Budget
Subcommittee. He also serves on the
Appropriations and Ways & Means
committees.
Hogg is an attorney with Elderkin & Pirnie in Cedar
Rapids. He and his wife, Kate, have three children. He is an active
member of Christ Episcopal Church and the Indian Creek Nature Center and a
classroom volunteer at Erskine Elementary School in Cedar Rapids.
Hogg is originally from Iowa City. He
attended the University of Iowa, where he earned a degree in history in 1988. He
received
his law degree from the University of Minnesota. |
